Yes. There are several guideline-based medical therapies for coronary artery disease (or "CAD") which have been shown to reduce morbidity and mortality. Your Cardiologist is an excellent source for information and should discuss each of these medications with you further.
Yes. Usually, you will be prescribed aspirin plus an additional blood thinner (Plavix or Brillinta) for a period of time.
Yes you must take an aspirin and another medication to keep the blood thin (usually clopidogrel or ticagrelor) for at least 1 year without interruption. If this needs to be interrupted for any reason you need to discuss with your cardiologist before stopping.
