Fast metabolism?

Hi there. I am a 14 year old boy with a fast metabolism. I realized today that I have eaten 6 eggs. Equivalent to about 1200 mg of cholesterol. This has only happened once. Will this affect me in any way?

No. Thankfully the human body is very resilient and one single incidence of high cholesterol intake will not affect your health over all. In general it is better to have a wide variety of foods at your meals rather than a concentrated amount of just one. This helps to avoid over-doing it with any one nutrient in the future. For example: rather than just eating 6 whole eggs you might choose to eat 2 eggs with 2 slices of whole wheat toast and a Greek yogurt.
