Nurse Practitioner Questions Hepatitis B

Hepatitis B

After when I was born within 45 days, on 12/22/1999 I received hepatitis B vaccine. Then on 3/11/2006, when I was 6 year old I got vaccine again, and continued does on 8/04/2006. Couple years later on 8/27/2019 when I was 19, I got vaccine again. So question is do still need to get hepatitis B vaccine again now since I am 23 years old. Or am I good for couple years.

Thank you for reaching out. To answer this question accurately, you will need to have a Hepatitis B titer lab drawn. Once this is ordered and drawn, one can answer if an additional Hep B. vaccination series will need to be administered. I hope that this helps.
The only way to know for sure would be to check your titers. Everyone's immune system responds to vaccines differently and some people need them earlier than others. Generally speaking you should be good for at least a few years.
