Rheumatologist Questions

High Crp

Had some blood work checked due to joint pain and fatigue and found my CRP to be 16 mg/L. Autoimmune blood work for lupus, RA, Sjorgens, was negative. My CH 50 was 100, C4c was 40. BMP, CBC, and esr were nomal. Not pregnant, White count nomal. Do you have any idea what I should check next? Very puzzling.

I am sorry you are feeling this way and would encourage you to pursue your symptoms with your doctors. It is not uncommon to see a disconnect between the sed rate and the CRP with one been much more elevated than the other or vice versa. Given your symptoms, I would suggest that your thyroid be checked as well as liver chemistries. Again please hang in there with your medical team
Depends on numerous factors, environmental, infection exposure risk, are you working with young children, Parvovirus, can mimic inflammatory conditions “look a likes”, RA , Seronegative status doesn’t exclude possible Sjogren’s, spondylitis, psoriatic arthritis.
