It is typically understood that we can reach about 3 to 4 mm maximum with a tooth brush or water flosser beyond that depth it is very difficult and unpredictable. Proper technique will make the biggest difference in your ability reach maximum depth.
Plaque below the gum line can become a serious problem. Plaque is bacteria and the longer it stays in your mouth the worse (more toxic) it gets. You need to see a dentist and have it removed.
