How long after liposuction will I see results?

I am a 58 year old female. I want to know how long after liposuction will I see results?

In general liposuction yields results relatively quickly within 4 to 6 weeks one swelling starts to subside. That said the final results on liposuction usually take 6 to 12 months until all swelling is gone and contours even out.
It can take months. A good general rule is that about 90% of your swelling will be gone in 90 days.
If you have large lumps and bumps removed you see that they are gone shortly after surgery. Three months for all of the fine details to be seen.
You should see some results immediately with the compression bandage. It takes 4-6 weeks for the majority of swelling to go down so you should have a good idea of the final result at that time.
Three to six months.
Depends on the area treated and the amount of adipose tissue removed. In general, you can appreciate results by a week but might take 6 weeks or longer to appreciate the final result. in some cases can take a few months.
Thank you for the question. In general, depending on the kind of liposuction done, you will see results right away. As time goes by, and the swelling decreases, you will continue to see improvement. The final result probably will be seen around 3 months post-procedure.
There is usually swelling called edema that lasts for several weeks to even months after liposuction surgery. I advise my patient not to expect results until at least three (3), if not six (6), months after liposuction, to allow for more complete resolution of postop edema.

"Friends" that will help with your recovery:

1. Regular, compliant use of compression garment wear;
2. A low or no-added salt diet (water loves salt, and thus a salty diet will have you retain more edema);
3. A lean, high protein diet to help with healing;
4. Continued physical activity - generally walking on a level surface - without over exerting areas that have been liposuctioned or over-using arms or abs, which may worsen postop edema.
