How long can general anesthesia affect you?

I am a 20 year old female. I want to know how long can general anesthesia affect you?

General anesthesia can wear off quite quickly. After effects of pain medicines and surgery last longer.
General anesthesia usually involves short-acting agents that wear off in hours.
Depends on the type of the procedure/surgery requiring general anesthesia and additional medications you may need (for post surgical pain, for example). In general, you will be out of the effect of general anesthesia per se within several hours.
There is trace amounts of anesthetic in your body for only a few hours after the procedure.
