In general, it will take 5-5/12 weeks to whole breast depending how big the breast followed by one week boost to tumor bed. The treatment will be every day Monday to Friday, not on weekend or holiday. For patient who will be treated with partial breast irradiation, it will be twice a day for 5 day or once a day for 10 days. Talk to your radiation oncologist, he or she will advise you what will be your schedule.
IT WILL VARY SOMETIMES DURING THE SURGERY SOMETIMES WITH BRACHYTHERAPY FOR A WEEK OR 6-7 WEEKS AND EVEN LONGER
Normally 4-6 weeks at a time.
