How long do you wear a chin strap after neck lift?

I will have a neck lift next week. How long do you wear a chin strap after a neck lift?

I recommend my patient to wear the strap for 10 days and then night only during sleep for another 10 days. But most patients don't. They find it annoying.
The longer you wear the better the result. I recommend sleeping with a round roll as pillow under your neck rather than a pillow under your head. This helps reduce the chance for wrinkling skin under your chin during healing.
I generally have my patients where the chin strap for 5-7 days, depending on if they had liposuction with their necklift.
First of all-ask your surgeon for his or her protocol! Necklift patients typically wear the chin strap day and night for several days up to a couple weeks. Depending on surgeon preference and your overall healing, you may then switch to daytime use only before ridding of the strap altogether. Again, if you do not already know the answer to your own question...ask your plastic surgeon, especially if you're having surgery in a week! Nirav B. For about 3 weeks and around 8-10 hours a day
A chin strap after neck lift can be worn anywhere from 5 to 10 days depending on the type of neck lift that you have. something that’s more invasive would require a little bit more downtime with the chinstrap. In general with my deep plane neck lifts, I have the patient wear the chinstrap for 5 to 7 days and then they are done.
