In general 15-30 min/session
Many variables.
Acupuncture sessions vary in duration, however, you can expect your initial assessment and treatment to be around an hour and a half long and follow-up treatments to be around an hour long.
An acupuncture session duration depends a great deal on the practitioner. The acupuncture needles need to be sustained for a minimum of 20 minutes in order for the Qi to circulate properly. Depending on a practitioner’s bedside manner, the rest of the session could last anywhere from 15 minutes until they feel you’re “done.” For myself, first time patient’s appointments are generally 1.5 hours long. Follow-ups are generally 45 minutes-1 hour.
Most acupuncture sessions are about an hour.

An acupuncture treatment usually lasts 45-50 minutes.
It depends on the acupuncturist. Somewhere between 20 minutes to one hour is very common. The first visit, of course, takes longer.

The effects of acupuncture vary from patient to patient. Results can last anywhere from 24 hours to permanent resolution. The factors that influence how long results last include:

-Is the condition acute or chronic? Acute conditions tend to respond quickly and resolve easily. Chronic conditions take longer.
-Is the most effective treatment being used? All acupuncture has an impact but the more experienced the acupuncturist is, the more likely you are to have longer lasting effects.
-What you do after the treatment: it is important to follow instructions after a treatment. What you do can impact how long your treatment lasts.
-How many treatments you have: the more serious or more chronic a condition, the more treatment is needed. If you have a series of treatments, the results will last longer.

An initial appointment is 1.5 hours and follow ups are an hour long.
Hi there!

Sessions typically last 45-60 min.

Be well,

Usually 40-60 minutes.
The length of an acupuncture session varies depending on the type and setting of the acupuncture therapy and the acupuncturist's treatment style. Sessions can range from 30 to 90 minutes, including intake history of the individual's health. Licensed acupuncturists will always review the health history, as symptoms do change often. Licensed acupuncturists will always create a comfortable and professional environment. And many licensed acupuncturists will include cupping, tui na and dietary therapies. Those licensed acupuncturists who are specially licensed in herbology, will include this therapy also. The shorter sessions are usually in a group setting and the longer sessions are usually in an individual setting. When choosing any health care provider, a good recommendation, verifying state licensure status and having a telephone conversation with them, will help choose the most appropriate licensed acupuncturist.
Good morning, happy holiday seasons.

Acupuncture session lasted from 1 to 5 days. But, it all depends on chief complaints.

Each clinic is different and there are no strict guidelines. But we have observed that each insurance plan pays slightly differently, so if an insurance is only paying for 15 min, most likely your treatment will only be 15 min. This is something that the practitioner and the patient should discuss if it is a concern.

That really depends on the practitioner. I personally spend 2-3 hours with a new patient. The treatment (insertion of needles) takes about one hour, with about 25 minutes of relaxing while the needles are inserted. A follow-up treatment usually lasts an hour for me. But this varies from practitioner to practitioner.
Hope that is helpful.
Acupuncture needles can be left in anywhere from 30' to 60' for most treatments.
An acupuncture appointment usually last anywhere from 1 to 2 hours, depending on the practitioner in their style of practice
It will last from 2 hours to 5 days based on a research study.
That varies between practitioners and what is required in each treatment but generally, treatments are about 1 hour long.

If you are asking about the effects after a treatment, that too will vary between practitioners, what is being treated, and how long it has been in existence. Overall, acupuncture has a cumulitive effect. The more regular you are with treatment, the faster you will see results and the longer they will last.
Usually it takes around 1 hour.
Everyone has their own style, but my initial session is about 1 1/2 hours because I go through a health history with each patient before I give them their first treatment. Subsequent treatments last about 1 hour.
How long a session lasts depends on what kind of treatment you've singed up for. Broadly speaking, there are two different models for the application of acupuncture:

1. Community style
2. Scheduled appointments

Community style acupuncture is usually done semi-privately. You might speak to the provider initially in a private space, but the treatments are usually done on chairs or tables in a common room. Treatment times in this style can range from 15 minutes to 30 minutes.

With scheduled appointments, the entire treatment is usually private. You'll be taken to a private room where only you and the provider will discuss your health issue and then treatment will be provided. Initial intake and treatment usually runs a little longer since we're gathering your entire health history in order to make an accurate Chinese diagnosis. A 90 minute initial intake seems to be the norm, but I've heard of folks using a 2 hour initial visit. Followup treatments are usually around 60 minutes.

So, on the low end you could be looking at 15-20 minutes. On the high end you could be looking at 2 hours - at least for an initial diagnosis and treatment. If the length of a session is important to you either because you have a lot of commitments and not a lot of time or because you want the provider to maximize their time with you, call around and talk to a few local providers to see what their typical appointment runs.
