Depends on the drug used, anywhere from an hour to 3 hours
Spinal anesthesia may last anywhere from 30 minutes to 150 minutes depending on the choice of local anesthetic and the dose used. Sometimes adjuvant medications may be added to affect the quality and duration. Individual patients may metabolize the local anesthetic at different rates leading to shorter or longer analgesic times. Good luck!
Spinal anesthesia wears off usually in about 90 mins. It can be longer or a little shorter depending on the local anesthetic medication used and the ability of the patient to metabolize the medication.
The most common local anesthetic used for spinal anesthesia (bupivacaine) usually provides 90 minutes of surgical anesthesia, then begins to dissipate slowly from head to toe over the course of the next two to three hours.
Depends on the drugs used. 3-4 hrs.
Hi,

It depends on the type of the anesthetic used and the amount of the anesthetic used. Depending on the type of surgery and the duration needed to perform the surgery, the anesthesiologist decides what anesthetic to use and how much. In general, the spinal anesthesia lasts about one hour to three hours. And for the weakness to go away from the lower extremities, it may take another 30 to 60 minutes.
