Anemia is not one disease but due to many different causes. If it is due to iron deficiency due to blood loss and the bleeding has stopped and iron has been given i.v. or is being taken orally, the response should start in about a week and talk as long as it does to make up the deficit...about a month.
The duration to correct anemia varies depending on the underlying cause and individual factors. Anemia can be caused by different factors, such as iron deficiency, vitamin deficiencies, chronic diseases, or blood loss. Treatment for anemia typically involves addressing the underlying cause and replenishing the deficient nutrients or addressing any other necessary medical interventions.

For iron-deficiency anemia, it usually takes a few weeks to a few months to restore iron levels through iron supplementation and dietary changes. Vitamin-deficiency anemias may require several weeks of vitamin supplementation and adjustments in diet.

It is important to consult with a healthcare professional who can determine the specific cause of your anemia and provide appropriate treatment options. They will also monitor your progress through follow-up blood tests to determine when your anemia has been successfully corrected.
