Typically this would be ten days or less. An anti inflammatory drug like Naproxen will help hasten the recovery and lessen the swelling. If the swelling doesn’t subside, getting an X-ray would be the next prudent step in order to ensure that there is no hairline fracture or other disease processes that might be going on. But this is not likely if you’ve had previous trauma history.
Hello, depending on a possible diagnosis from x-ray or MRI bone fracture or soft tissue-muscle, tendon, these are factors in determining recovery time. Consult a physician for an exam, x-ray possible MRI so a fracture is not missed, and proper treatment is started. Good luck friend.
It depends on the injury. Get it looked at if it doesn't resolve soon.
As long as there are no fractured bones then swelling for soft tissue injuries last 10-14 days generally.
Swelling can vary in how long it will last. I recommend you make an appointment with a foot and ankle surgeon (podiatrist) for appropriate diagnosis and treatment
It depends. Swelling can last for several days to several weeks after an injury, depending on what structures are injured
Depends on the injury. It can last 1-3 months.
Swelling following an injury is truly dependent upon the severity of the injury. It is important to know if you have torn ligaments, tendons or sustained a bone fracture. Please seek medical advice to determine the extent of your injury. In general, swelling can last for several weeks to several months.
