Gastroenterologist Questions Gastroenterologist

How often should I take Daflon 1000?

I was checked by a primary care physician through an online check-up, and was considered as having hemorrhoids. I was prescribed topical creams, but they only worked for 4 days at most, and their effectiveness waned off.

I tried taking Daflon 1000 3 times a day for 4 days, and 2 times a day for 3 days. Days 4-6, I noticed an improvement. But through day 7, the symptoms appeared again although milder. I experience symptoms the most after defecating such as intense itching and anal discomfort.

Should I take Daflon more or should I see a gastroenterologist first for a proctological examination?

You should see a GI doctor. You may have an anal fissure, not necessarily a hemorrhoid causing those symptoms.
