Glaucoma surgery can be very successful. There are however several
different types of glaucoma and different procedures for each type. Work
closely with your glaucoma ophthalmologist to determine the optimal care.
It's actually quite successful if done early enough before there is extensive damage to the optic nerve. There are a number of different procedures for glaucoma and each has it's advantages and disadvantages. Speak to your doctor for greater details.

This depends on many factors, most importantly which surgery (there are
many) and who is the surgeon.

It is very successful, especially new non-penetrating types such as OMNI
canaloplasty, etc.
