Hypothyroidism diagnosis?

I was recently diagnosed with hypothyroidism with a TSH of 15.6. I was prescribed 25mg of levothyroxine once a day until I see an endocrinologist for a better dosage. I have been on the medication for 3 days now, and last night I started having heart palpitations and was concerned about my breathing. I was wondering if this dose might be too high for me? Should I stop taking the medication? I haven't received word of when my visit to the endocrinologist is scheduled.

This is the smallest dose possible. Your palpitations are not from the thyroid medication. Possibly anxiety? Let me reassure you. This is more than a reasonable dosage.
You need to call your primary dr if you don’t have an endocrinologist to who knows you best (25micrograms is the smallest dose).
