OB-GYN (Obstetrician-Gynecologist) Questions Menstruation

I had two periods cycles in one month. What could be wrong?

I had my period two weeks ago on my scheduled date. Now again I had an early cycle all of a sudden in the same month. Is there something wrong?

There are instance such as you describe- called intermenstrual bleed. This may be isolated. However if it becomes persistent ( more than 3 cycles), then it needs be looked into. Your gyn may be able to assess you and make recommendations.
It can be simple stress or a hormonal imbalance. You should see your OB/GYN and get an evaluation.

It could be hormonal. If the frequent period cycle persists, please see your OBGyn. You might need some blood tests, pelvic exam, and/or pelvic ultrasound to look for other causes.

Take care!
This may just be a month where you had a shortened luteal phase, that is the follicle that forms after ovulation, the corpus luteum, and which makes progesterone may be short resulting in an early period. Pregnancy should always be ruled out. Depending upon your age, this may be the result of hormonal changes of perimenopause such as fluctuations of estrogen and falling levels of progesterone, the latter stabilizes the endometrium and prevents early breakdown and bleeding before the expect period.
Are you or were you on any hormonal supplementation? You can have bleeding like that with ovarian cysts, endometriosis and even ovulation. See a Provider if this does not straighten out for you.
