Adolescent Specialist Questions

I have a lump by my nipple in my left breast. Is this serious?

I have a lump in my breast and its been there for 5-6 days. It started 9-10 days before my period, and I'm just wondering if its anything serious? Its painful, and its in my left breast really close to my nipple and its even kind of under it. I also have a random panic attack everytime that breast moves, even though I'm not even thinking about it. There's also a few random small puncture holes that I can sort of see my (inner skin??) through, but I'm not sure if that's relevant. Im not taking any medication for it, except i used Tylenol once for the pain (didn't work that well.) Lately Ive been having short bursts of pain in that breast. It's much better when I wear a bra, but when I wake up its horrible. Is this just hormones doing stuff, or something else?

It is most commonly hormonal and usually temporary. You can apply cold compress, Ibuprofen/Tylenol for pain. See your primary care provider if any concern
If you are 13years old it is likely just normal fibrocystic breast changes and your breasts growing as part of normal puberty.
