“Is it possible for a man’s fertility to fix itself in 8 months?”

My ex and I were trying for a baby. We tried for a full year and never could conceive. We’d sleep together pretty much every day of my fertile period, I was using ovulation tests and we still couldn’t conceive. We split up. In March we saw each other again and slept together two times. Five days, and four days before my expected ovulation day. Obviously, we didn’t use protection we weren’t worried about me getting pregnant. Well, I slept with my now boyfriend the night before expected ovulation. My period had always been regular. Then the end of March I found out I’m pregnant. My ex had always had fertility problems, he had scar tissue build-up in his scrotum, that he never got fixed. But the doctor never really ruled him as infertile. In his 31 years of life and pretty much never wearing protection, and after trying with multiple women to have a child, he was never once able to have a child. He also had an illicit drug habit for many years before I knew him. I strongly feel my babies(Found out they’re twins last week) are my current boyfriends. Seeing as how my ex wasn’t able to get me pregnant. But is it possible for a man to fix his fertility in 8 months? He started back up with the illicit drug use after our break up, but I guess slowed down after we started talking again. I’m not sure if that makes a difference or even matters.
