My child has a fever?

My child is 2 years old and has had a fever for three days. Just within the last half an hour he was sleeping on daddy and was dressed in warm clothes and had a warm blanket on. I woke him up and got him undressed and took his temp which was 104.8. I immediately gave him some children's Tylenol and then immediately got him in the bath. I checked his temp after and it dropped to 103.8. I've been putting alcohol on a cloth and placing it on his forehead to lower his temp. It has been working the last few days. I've been trying to get him to drink pedialite but he only has taken a few sips here and there he has drank some juice. I've offered Popsicles and he doesn't want those. I've got him completely undressed using a sheet for him to cover up with as it is light. Any other suggestions I can do to keep his temp down? Anything to watch for or look for. He's also has some heat rashes little ones that have come and gone. I counted his breathes yesterday night and they were at 55 breaths per minute. He's had a little cough here and there. Nothing major. I gave him some cough medicine yesterday. The cough medicine didn't contain any extra pain reliever or anything to interfere with the children's Tylenol. But I didn't feel comfortable giving it to him along side Tylenol as much. His fever is more persistent than his cough. I wonder if he has come across a viral bug. Again what can I do if I'm not already doing it?

Please never again use alcohol in your child to lower his temperature, and you need to take him immediately to see a doctor.
