My hair is falling out?

I had COVID-19 and my liver is bad plus I’m taking different medications. Could one or more be the cause of my hair falling out in handfuls? It’s falling out so fast I’ll be bald in a month. What do I do?

Hair loss has increasingly been reported in people who have recovered from COVID-19. Telogen effluvium is hair loss occurring after an episode of stress. There are many causes of hair loss including alopecia areata, hypothyroidism, iron deficiency, hyperandrogenism, autoimmune disease, chemotherapy and other medications. Get checked out by your family doctor, internist or dermatologist.
