Niacin flush after months of no reactions?

As part of my supplement regimen, I took Niacin (B3) at 500mg every morning. For many months, no issues. Suddenly, I started experiencing niacin flush (as later identified by my doctor). So, I discontinued niacin supplements to give time to purge it from my system. Tried taking a single niacin a week later…had niacin flush. Tried waiting two weeks…had niacin flush. Tried waiting about a month…had niacin flush. While I can try to buy niacin in smaller doses (50mg perhaps), is there a reason I was using niacin for months with no issues then suddenly start having niacin flush whenever I take a single capsule regardless of time since last dose?

There are likely other systems that have been thrown out of balance since taking it daily without symptoms. Best to consult a doctor or nutritionist to uncover underlying imbalances. Feel free to contact our office at 800-242-3108.
Niacin plays an essential role in the activities of various enzymes involved in the metabolism of carbohydrates and fats, the functioning of the nervous system and digestive system, the manufacturing of sex hormones and cholesterol, and the maintenance of healthy skin. Inositol hexanicotinate functions as niacin without the characteristic "flush." - Try a No-Flush Niacin alternative.
