Potassium chloride?

I am not sure what it's being taken for. On two occasions the pill was still intact in my stools. The instructions says do not crush or chew. Any ideas?

This sometimes can happen if it is a long acting medication. And that might be the reason it says do not crush or chew. So I ask your doctor to change it to immediate release medications of the same kind
It is usually used to replace potassium lost due to diuretics like lasix. Check with your pharmacist to make sure the medication/pill is not defective.
This is usually given for low blood potassium. It would not typically be prescribed by a gastroenterologist
