Cardiologist Questions Cardiologist

Should I be worried about my chest x-ray?

I have been having trouble catching my breath. I have gone to the hospital and they did blood work, ECG, and chest x-ray. They told me that my lungs sounded fine, my oxygen was 100% and my chest x-ray was good. I just got the report for my x-ray on my health and it says "minor bibasal opacities are most consistent with atelectasis". When I look that up it doesn't sound good. Is this something I should be worried about? I'm having to take a puffer daily and the doctors are blaming my GERD.

I am a gastroenterologist. You need a pulmonologist to answer this question, but in general atelectasis is not a concerning finding.
This is a very common finding… Imagine when you wake up in the morning parts of your lungs are partially collapsed.… If your symptoms persist, I would recommend a CT scan.
