General Practitioner Questions Burning

Should I see a doctor

I’m a 22 year old female. Recently for about the last week or so, I’ve been feeling random sensations of a shock or warm/burning feeling throughout my body. It’s mostly my right leg from my hip down. It’s on an off throughout the day, it seems to be more consistent at night. It happens for about a second and then goes away, but it happens multiple times through the day. I’ve also noticed a small ache sometimes throughout parts of my body, mostly my arms and legs. I have no other symptoms, I’m not on any medications nor do I have a past involving any medical conditions or illnesses. Currently I’m not on any medications nor have I been in the past. Should I see a doctor?

This is about the bellringer of a weird symptom complex. I have never heard of such in spite of decades of hands on clinical experience. What comes to mind is early symptoms of Parkinsonism, multiple sclerosis, neuroboreliosis, atypical epilepsis or some more exotic ballgames like astrocytosis, early onset syphilis or diabetes. These should all be ruled out before one can conclude that it is all in your head, which is not unlikely.
