Hey I know this is a stretch but I was constipated a couple of weeks ago and now I’m feeling pressure in my lower left abdomen or intestine. It’s not painful but enough for me to feel uncomfortable as it comes and goes throughout the day. It happens often when I’m laying down at night. Today I felt a sharp pain in my middle abdomen when I would bend down but it also comes and goes. I don’t have any insurance as I just turned 26 and got kicked off my parents insurance. Thanks!

You may have developed some sensitivity of the colon after a period of constipation. Also, injury to the abdominal wall can happen with excessive straining. Hernias can develop too. Make sure that you stay regular with your bowel movement, ideally at least daily. Use over the counter laxatives like dulcolax and miralax, in addition to more fiber in the diet.
