“Sulfa allergy?”
I am allergic to sulfa drugs. On some cough DM cold medicine it. It says it contains sodium metabisulfite. Would I react to that? I found out I was allergic to sulfa drugs when I was prescribed sulfa drugs for a UTI.

Those two are different chemicals - your sulfa allergy will not prevent you from using those cough OTC medications.
