I don’t know what medication you are taking for BP. Amlodipine can cause ankle and lower foot swelling.
You also need to get venous Doppler done.
These symptoms are representative of something abnormal internally with the circulation. threfore, recommend that you see a vascular doctor.
The most common cause of swelling in the legs that is not present in the morning but gets worse during the day is Venous insufficiency. The treatment for such problems is Diuretics, compression stockings, and vein procedures performed by certain cardiologists. However, this could be the sign of something much more serious, such as Congestive Heart Failure (CHF). It could also be an indication that you have a blood clot, which could be very serious. It would be in your best interest to have the problem checked by a Cardiologist.
I recommend you make an appointment with a foot and ankle surgeon (podiatrist) for diagnosis and treatment options. Also, you can discuss with your primary care physician about adjustment to your blood pressure medication
Lots of causes. Most worrisome is heart disease. Need professional evaluation.
You may have cellulitis skin infection. If so, you need immediate attention including antibiotics. You also probably have leaking varicose veins. You may also have underlying diabetes and a heart which is not pumping blood forcefully. Get to the doctor pronto.
