Dentist Questions Tonsillitis

Tonsillitis

Had bad tonsillitis since Saturday afternoon, feeling 80% just completely no energy, and blocked ears, I work in childcare so full on. How long should I take off work? I don't want to be cheeky.

I would recommend 1 week. Are you taking antibiotics? I would try to avoid contact with children, as they are more susceptible to catching colds and infections.
You should see your primary care doctor and possibly ENT if you get
tonsillitis frequently

If you are sure you have tonsillitis you should go see an ENT Specialist. The ENT Specialist will better help you with a definitive diagnosis, the causes of your condition and will advise you on proper management of your condition. Hope you feel better soon.
I would recommend you to get an evaluation to see the severity of the situation. Sounds like you need some treatment and the providing ENT or dentist will be able to better answer your question of how many days you will need to recover.
If you ‘Google’ diagnosed then I’d verify status with your primary Dr. and select the proper med. regimen- if fever then no contact until 5 days after being afebrile (no fever), isolation until your sure is a rule especially if you’re working close contact and especially with kids
