Abdominal Surgeon Questions surgeon

Urgent situation?

My father has a severe inguinal hernia. He is 89 years old and can't use the bathroom, so he spends 20 hours trying to urinate/defecate, but he can't, but sometimes it only happens spontaneously, so he has a bucket by the bed. Because he is living with prostate cancer (content, because his testicles have been removed), he cannot be operated on. He is exhausted and depressed. The doctors told him nothing could be done, but they could not accept that he should die like that. Please help me!

Consult Functional Medicine and start Acupuncture with Moxibustion.
Previous prostate surgery or cancer does not preclude a patient from hernia surgery. Seek a second opinion.
Hello, this sounds like a terrible situation. If he has a bad heart or lungs that would make him a poor candidate for surgery, also if he has had radiation to this area. There may be more factors that I am not aware of that make this a bad choice. You need to find another surgeon at a different hospital to get a fresh set of eyes on this.
