Vitamin D and K?

I am having surgery next Wednesday and was told by my doctor to stop taking all supplements. I am getting a Partial Fundoplication Toupet procedure done. I feel like I may be coming down with something right now. I usually take high vitamin D drops for two or three days when I feel I may be getting sick and I believe it’s helped me in the past many times. My question is would it be okay to take my vitamin D drops 20,000 IU with vitamin K2 today and tomorrow and then stop before my procedure next Wednesday?

Your vitamin D supplement is likely fine to continue all the way to the day of your surgery. However, I would not be taking your vitamin K supplement. Especially if you are on other medications, particularly blood thinners. Vitamin K can make your blood clot faster and since it is processed in the liver can interfere with the processing of other medications. Your surgeon should definitely be aware if you continue to take this supplement so that they can prepare appropriately.
If you take those, you will need to delay your procedure.
