Best is to see your dentist every 3-6 months. At home, night time oral hygiene is most important. If you start with listerine for 30 seconds, then floss your teeth. Lastly brush your teeth with a sodium flouride toothpaste for 2 minutes and don’t rinse it off with water. Leave a small amount of toothpaste on teeth and go to bed. You do that and your teeth and gums will be great.
The first step is to get a cleaning at the dentist and then floss! Most people brush regularly, most people just don’t floss. A Waterpik can also be a good tool to keep the deeper areas of inflammation clean after your appointment.
Gingivitis is a fancy term for bacteria in her gum tissues. There are several options for gingivitis. A good cleaning with your dentist and great home care including, brushing, flossing, water picks and mouthwash can help reduce the bacteria and reduce or eliminate gingivitis. Other gingivitis is chronic and may bee extra help from a dental professional including treatments like Laser or antibiotic irrigation. Scheduling a dentist visit for professional cleaning and check up is recommended. Diagnosis of the root cause of the gingivitis will be the best treatment option. Gingivitis can be connected to inadequate bruising, lack of the nutrients , overhanging restoration, cavities, food accumulation in wide spaces , mouthbreating just to ame a few. *Smiles of Lombard, PC* *Monika Tyszkowski DDS* *845 S. Brush your teeth at least twice a day, in the morning, before bed and after lunch in addition to flossing daily. Don't forget to see your dentist or hygienist on a regular basis also for a professional cleaning.
