What is the longest you can be under anesthesia?

I will be having a procedure under general anesthesia. I want to know what is the longest you can be under anesthesia?

You can safely be under anesthesia for many hours, as long as the surgery takes. There is no limit.
No limit. I have seen cases lasting even 24 hours.
While there is no established maximum time one can be put under anesthesia, you really want to minimize this time if possible. The longest continuous anesthetic I have ever been a part of lasted 24 hours.
