Oral antibiotics are required to treat bacterial pneumonia. Sometimes, cough medication and inhalers are helpful to control symptoms while the antibiotics are working to treat the infection.
Doxycycline or Augmentin plus azithromycin or fluoroquinolones (moxifloxacin or levofloxacin).
Bacterial pneumonia would be treated with antibiotics.
