First, treat gastritis. If it’s caused by an infection then you will need specific combinations of antibiotics. If it’s related to your diet then you may check out LOW ACID food items online and try your best to follow that. Avoid NSAIDs aspirin and alcohol.
Consider a low FODMAP diet.
You can eat a nutritious and varied diet with gastritis. Avoid alcohol, spicy hot food with capcesin (the chemical that makes hot foods like hot peppers hot), and perhaps limit coffee. Avoid overeating so keep the meals relatively small. Tomato sauce should be avoided. Avoid any food that disagrees with you. Milk and milk products are soothing; remember that milk a mother makes of any mammalian species is for the mother’s baby, yogurt, cheeses, generally settle well. If you are lactose intolerant yogurt and hard cheeses like cheddar and Parmesan are lactose-free.
This is a good question. If you have symptoms then remove toxic substances like alcohol, nonsteroidal. Make sure you have been checked for Helicobacter ( if you do then antibiotics will be needed).
Food doesn't generally cause or worsen gastritis, but gastritis might make your stomach lining sensitive to stretch when food is ingested. There is no magic diet for this. Eat what you can tolerate. Smaller and lighter meals tend to be better tolerated.
