What to avoid with a sore throat?

My daughter has a sore throat. What to avoid with a sore throat?

1 Answer

Usually, a sore throat can be managed by Tylenol or Advil for pain. It would be advisable to avoid foods that are crunchy or spicy. I would not want to eat tortilla chips or pretzels. Smooth foods like yogurt, or pudding will be easier to swallow. Cold foods often help numb the tonsils,
making it easier to swallow. Thus, ice cream and popsicles can be helpful.
