“Would I know if I fractured my skull?”
At the gym, from a sitting position on the bench, I stood upright to get my shoes from the upper locker and banged the left top area of my head with such force that it bled. Scalp wounds bleed a lot so maybe it’s nothing. I have no symptoms other than a sore head and a headache. Should I do anything?

Medications: Metformin 1000 mg bid and ramipril 5 md qd
Conditions: Type 2 diabetes, mild hypertension

Most unlikely. Your neck (C5 - C7) are likelier to suffer more. Symptoms more severe than those described would be reasons to be concerned
You should be examined by a physician
Your symptoms are external trauma.h ere is no clinical warning sign of internal trauma. For safety, CT head will be just enough to answer all your concerns.
