Hello. Yes. They are permanent. If you have any further questions or inquiries please visit my website at Drroya.com. Good luck!
Surgically implanted cheek implants are permanent
Cheek implants can be a long-term option to increase cheek projection, however, I prefer fat transfer as the result is far more natural with less complications. It can be done in the office, under local anesthesia.
Good luck.
I don't do them. Don't like them. They are nowhere near as popular as they once were due to problems like shifting out of position, becoming visible or palpable, and infection. If you need more volume in your cheeks, fat grafting using your own fat may be a wonderful option and is permanent. Best of all, it is your own fat so no rejection, etc.
I would highly recommend you speak with a plastic facial surgeon. Although, I am a head and neck surgeon I don't do cheek implants. This would be a better question for a plastic surgeon and it would also depend on your bone structure in the facial area.
Yes. If the procedure is done correctly like placement, size, etc. you will still have the normal aging of the face that may necessitate a re-do of the procedure. Also, trauma to the face such as in a car wreck may damage the procedure.
Thank you for the question. If you do implants, they are. However, there is an option. You could have long term filler injected. They last about a year, and you can decide how pronounced or subtle. If you don’t like it, they can be dissolved. It is an option when it comes to $$$. Good luck.

Typically, cheek implants last forever. What does not last forever is the sagging skin though, so you cannot expect the appearance you have after the cheek implants to provide an unchanged face forever.
Hello,

Like all medical procedures, undergoing cheek implantation has risks and benefits. There are a few alternatives to undergoing cheek implantation, including the injection of fillers. I usually do Voluma, a hyaluronic acid filler, to the cheek. It lasts about 18 months. Implants can stay in long-term, but may be associated with complications such as infection, extrusion, malposition, and bone resorption. My recommendation is to see a fully trained plastic surgeon for full facial assessment and evaluation, as well as for a complete discussion of the risks and benefits.

Cheek implants are usually indicated for a rather poor projection of the cheekbone areas. The modified implants that fill the mid cheek have now been replaced by fat injection, mid face lift or even injectables. Not a minor enhancement of the cheekbone areas some injectable like Radiesse can do a great job for a long time.
