Neurologist Questions Balance Problems

My father is having balance problems and generally is tilting towards his right side. What could be the issue?

My father is 78 years old and is generally keeping good health despite his age. However, over the last couple of weeks, his body has been involuntarily tilting towards his right side. What could be this issue?

He needs to see a neurologist to check for any possible mini stroke because of his age and needs an MRI of his brain.
Could be many things and location of the disorder could be in the Bain, spinal cord, nerve roots , Vertebrae & discs. Would see an orthopedist first, then if need be, he might refer you to a neurosurgeon or neurologist. Good luck.
It could be an issue with the inner ears. A small stroke is also possible. Perhaps bring him to a neurologist.

He should see a physician. There are a number of possibilities including inner ear problems, but I would be concerned for the possibility of a stroke.
Dear Sir,

Your dad may be suffering from any of several probabilities, including: intoxication, stroke, a balance disorder, inflammation of nerves, a vitamin B 12 deficiency, etc...
He will need to be referred to a neurologist ASAP for a detailed evaluation and appropriate testing, including imaging and lab testing. Please have him always use a cane, and refrain from any unnecessary mobility alone until he's seen by the specialist. If you see progression prior to seeing the specialist, do not hesitate to report to the closest Emergency Room facility. I wish him a rapid recovery.

Vestibulopathy or cerebellum lesion
If symptoms haven't improved, I suggest neurological examination to make sure nothing else is going on.
