Can I put rubber bands on my teeth?

I am a 16 year old male. I wonder if I can put rubber bands on my teeth?

No, absolutely not.
Not a good idea.
You should never place rubber bands on your teeth unless told you by your orthodontist. It will move your teeth
Most advisable to do under supervision of a dentist/orthodontist.
NO!
I really don't know what you mean, but if you have no braces on your teeth to attach the rubber bands to, please NEVER put anything around your teeth. You may cause infections that may lead to the loss of these teeth!
You can, but you should not. No one can predict how much force the rubber band exactly produce. If teeth move too fast, then root resorption can occur (irreversible). Yes, you would be able to pull the crown portion of the teeth together to close the gap/space, but what about the root portion of the teeth? What if the roots were curved? The risk of exposing root structure would be significantly increased. Corrective dental procedures for tooth/bone loss due to failed DIY "braces" would cause severe financial burden. Therefore, get it right the first time. Please avoid using DIY appliance without consulting with your local dentist for proper orthodontic work.
