“Can we request that my child gets anesthesia through mask?”
My child is due for a surgery soon and would need to be put to sleep. But she's terrified of needles, and I don't think it's going to go well in the OR if a needle is being used. Can we request for her to get anesthesia through a mask?

In most pediatric hospitals, kids go to sleep with a mask instead of starting an IV. Please talk to your anesthesiologist to find out your options.
