Cardiologist Questions Heart Attack

Can mild chest pain be a symptom of a heart attack?

I have been experiencing slight discomfort and a little pain in my chest area for the last one week. Could this be the symptom of a heart attack?

Yes.
If it comes on or worsens with exercise (walking uphill) it is probably angina and should be investigated urgently. If not it is probably not a heart problem.
It could potentially be warning symptoms. Heart pain doesn't have to be severe; in fact, some patients have no pain at all with a heart attack.
