How do I help my father if he has a heart attack?

My father has a very bad heart. He lives with me now. What can I do to help him if he has a heart attack at home, while I wait for an ambulance to come?

First call 911 - If he is awake and responsive give him 325 mg of aspirin. Keep him calm. Also if you are caring for some one who has heart disease you should learn CPR. If his heart was to stop - the sooner that he receives “good”
CPR the better his chances are to survive. Go online to the American Heart Association to find a class near you.
Minimize activity
Have the patient calm down
Get an ambulance
Consider giving the patient a chewable aspirin
Good luck
