Hematologist (Pediatric) Questions Hemophilia

How is hemophilia treated in children?

My nephew has been diagnosed with hemophilia. I'm curious, what is the treatment procedure for this health condition?

If it is a mild bruise, a single dose of Factor VIII of 10 unit per Kg will usually prevent progression of mild bleeding, but for severe bleeding, the dose is 20 to 25 unit per Kg, and a second or third dose may be necessary.
