My 14 year old daughter has a middle ear infection. How long do middle ear infections last?

If there is greenish discharge from ear infection, chances are less it will get better without antibiotics. Mostly people confuse with outer ear infection (common with swimming) with middle ear infection.
It depends. If it is bacterial, it needs to be treated or else it could progress into a much more serious condition like mastoiditis. If the symptoms last for more than 5-7 days, she needs to see a doctor.
