I am a 33-year-old male. I broke my leg while at work one afternoon. How long will I be off work with a broken leg?

This is a complex question because the most important thing is the specific bone fractured. The bone fractured essentially determines estimated healing time, need for immobilization (cast, boot or brace) and degree of weight bearing advisable. Totally depends on the fracture type and fixation method if you underwent surgery. It also depends on your job. Generally it can be from 6 weeks to 3-6 months.
