About 10% of children have ADHD. Some can be managed by adjustments in the classroom. Sitting near the teacher, smaller classroom and organizing his work. Others need medication to be still stay focused and finish their work. Some can be managed at the lowest dose of meds, some have to be titrated up to much higher doses. How much it affects his academics is the main indicator of how serious it is.
