Urologist Questions Prostatitis

How should a prostate massage procedure be performed?

Hi I have recently had a prostate massage done by my urologist because I am experiencing erection and ejaculation problems along with being diagnosed with prostatitis also having some problems with frequent uni nation and trouble starting and stopping. So my concerns are that I don't know if he is doing it properly, for one because it's basically just like a DRE and is quite quick maybe under a min? And the finger is inserted quite forcibly? Basically he doesn't give me time to relax. So my question is how is a medical prostate massage supposed to be performed and how long should the prostate be massaged during the procedure? Also how often? My urologist has performed the prostate massage about once a month for 2 months. I have seen videos and done some research and it seems like he isn't doing it right? Please I need answers as I don't want my symptoms/problems to get worse and/or my urologist to damage my prostate gland.

Prostatic massage is thought to help clear the prostatic duct. This duct, or pipeline, runs between your prostate and the rest of your reproductive and urinary system. Massaging may produce a spontaneous secretion of fluid
Benefits:
1.This therapy may clear your prostatic duct.
2.Clearing excess fluid may reduce or relieve your symptoms.
There is no standard for prostate massage. I don’t do therapeutic massage, I only do massage to get prostate secretions for culture. I would give a lengthy course of antibiotics directed by the culture in an attempt to clear the prostate of infection.
