“Is it safe to do an MRI scan on my brain?”
I am having speech problems and my doctor suggested an MRI. Is it safe to do an MRI scan on my brain? What do they usually show?

Completely safe unless you have a pacemaker or some other implantable electronic/metal device such as a Vagal Nerve Stimulator, which can be turned off prior to an MRI scan.
Very safe and the best imaging modality for most abnormalities of the brain or spine.
