Urologist Questions Prostatitis

Is natural medicine a good way to treat prostatitis?

I'm 40 years old, and I have prostatis. I've been taking antibiotics for about 3 months, but no matter what it always recurs. Can natural medicine treat prostatis?

Prostatitis is an inflammatory condition of the prostate gland and may not be infectious in etiology. Chronic irritation may exacerbate symptoms and antibiotics may not be helpful in such situations. Using a donut cushion to take pressure off of the perineum and taking non-steroidal anti-inflammatory medication such as Ibuprofen may help with symptoms. Seeing a urologist may be beneficial.
